My cat-loving daughter (age 6) and I had a blast at the cafe! We opted for the extended session, which yes, was a little pricey, but definitely the right choice for us! (We know it funds a good cause!). We got there early and ordered drinks and a brownie, which we took inside with us. Eleanor was the lounge attendant in the room and was a DELIGHT. She was helpful and silly; she listened and answered EVERY question my chatty kiddo asked her. It was such a wonderful experience to play and love on cats and kittens- we will be back again and bringing more friends!
This place is too cute! I love being able to play with the cats. The drinks are pretty tasty too! I had a lavender lemonade that was really good before getting to hang with the cats. You can’t bring your food or drink in with the cats of course, but it’s no biggie as they’ll hold it for you or what I did was just drink it beforehand.
I love that all of the cats are adoptable through the Cleveland APL. The staff will tell you about each of the cats and how to best interact with them so make sure that you chat with them. They recommend reserving cat time in advance as it can book up quickly so make sure you do their online registration. It’s really easy to do and worth it so that you can guarantee your cat time!
The cutest cat cafe around 😭 I would adopt everyone if I could 😭 we went with a group, for coffee here that was amazing, and played with cats all afternoon!!! …
This place is amazing! One of my best friends adopted from here, and it has been one of the best thing she's ever done. I love how creative the menu names are! they have done an amazing job with the space they have been given. They are super accommodating of the cats space. The person who goes in with you to tell you about the cats ( I am so sorry I cannot remember your name to save my life) is wonderful. They're so sweet, and answer all of the questions you have. They give you all the information they possibly can about each and every cat in there.
The food and drinks were delightful, with a variety of options including vegan/vegetarian. The coffee was great. Most importantly, the space was well curated to tend to the cats' needs. The attendant was knowledgeable and available to introduce the individual cats by name and with a snippet of personality. By far, I most appreciated their willingness to advocate for the less social cats. I will absolutely be back to hang again. It's slower in the morning, which affords you more time with the cats in a less overstimulating environment.
The place:
Plenty of space in the cafe side. LOTS of comfy seating in the cat side. On the back wall, there’s a wall of profiles of each cat so you can get an idea of everyone’s personalities. There are so many spaces for the cats to hide, climb, and play. I was particularly impressed by the catwalks up near the ceiling where the cats can look down at guests.
The location:
Just a couple doors down from Lucky’s. Nestled into a neighborhood where there’s plentiful free street parking.
The treats:
The blended lemonade was exactly what I needed. Yes, it was cold out, but you know what? The lemonade was the perfect mix of tart and sweet. Beautiful.
The service:
The staff seem like the type of people I’d enjoy befriending. They’re a little quirky and a lot caring. They truly care about what they’re doing and they’re committed to the cats. I think everyone was wearing a cat themed t-shirt when we visited.
The cats were friendly and playful. There were enough cats that every guest had someone to play with. I successfully pet every cat within reach. All very soft.
Next time:
I would love to stick around for longer, maybe bring a book and sit with one of the old kitties.
Lovely folks. Very kind and clear with instructions. Cafe has delicious treats and drinks. My daughter loved her frozen lemonade and I loved my iced latte with hazelnut and toffee. So yummy!! I was glad they had decaf espresso.
The kitty room is spacious and it was nice to sit and pat the sweet cats.
Recent first trip. Online website explains all the info. You need to make a reservation and yes it is at cost. The cost is obviously to go to the adoption and care program. I have no problem with that. The online policy also states that since it's reservations, if you are late that time is gone from your slot. So it clearly let's you know to be on time. It's in a super cute location of Tremont and easy to find. We were able to park easily behind the building as the church allows this. That was great. We walked in and checked in. We had a worker tell us about the cats that prefer toy play over trying to be handled or pet. As we walked over to each cat, the worker would come over and tell us info. The cats were walking around, sitting, sleeping etc. This is typical cat behavior. Cats do what cats want. We also asked our own questions of each cat. You could place a drink order from the menu while you played with the cats. That's awesome. We've seen cat cafes that are set up exactly this way, which are outside of Cleveland. So we didn't find it odd at all to have to make a reservation or pay for that time. Fun place. My teen loved it. Great day. We'll be back.
